The Albert Lea boys’ basketball team was in a battle with the Red Wing Wingers in Tuesday’s matchup.

Down 10 points in the second half, the Tigers battled back to cut the deficit to three at 46-43.

But the Wingers ended the game on a 14-6 run to win 60-49.

“We battled back, but missed on some opportunities,” Tigers coach Lucas Novosad said.

Jack Buendorf led the Tigers with 23 points. Tanner Wichmann had 11 points and Sean Wadding finished with 10 points.

Albert Lea will host Rochester John Marshall on Thursday.
