Advocacy Award winner announced

Freeborn County announced the nomination process for the 2017 Rose Olmsted Advocacy Award has been completed and Jo Lowe has been chosen by the selection committee for the award, according to a press release.
The committee recognized the outstanding commitment provide by Lowe over the past 27-plus years as being an advocate to ensure the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have a voice in this area and region. Her dedication to help each and every one find ways to learn, try new skills and express themselves is a gift to the entire community, the release stated. Lowe has been the key fabric of the Arc of Freeborn County and she embodies what the Rose Olmsted Advocacy Award represents.
