NRHEG ends reg. season with big win

Betsy Schoenrock continued her hot play with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and the NRHEG girls’ basketball team routed Blue Earth on Tuesday, 62-43.

“The girls are working hard and we (finished) the regular season right where we wanted to,” Panthers coach Onika Peterson said.

The win over Blue Earth moved the Panthers to 21-5 and they are 12-0 in the Gopher Conference.

“I am proud of what they have all accomplished, but playoffs is a new ball game,” Peterson said. “We need to bring our ‘A’ game every night from here on out.”

Kayla Camerer had 16 points and Rachel Collins had nine points. Marnie Wagner had eight rebounds and seven points, and Maddie Wagner finished with seven rebounds, seven assists and six points.

NRHEG will host a playoff game next Tuesday.
