NRHEG stays undefeated in conference

Another game, another win for the NRHEG girls’ basketball team as it moved to 11-0 in the Gopher Conference Friday night with a 71-32 drubbing of Blooming Prairie.
The Panthers dominated from the opening tip, jumping out to a 42-15 lead at halftime.
“The girls came out ready to work (tonight),” Panthers coach Onika Peterson said. “They moved the ball well offensively, hitting cutters and seeing the floor well.”
NRHEG accumulated 18 assists led by Marnie Wagner, who had six.
A number of players performed well for the Panthers. Betsy Schoenrock scored 14 points and had four blocks, Kayla Camerer had 12 points, Maddie Wagner had 11 points and nine rebounds, and Rachel Collins scored 12 points with two steals.
NRHEG is 18-5 on the season and pushed its winning streak to 10 games.
It will conclude its three-game homestand on Tuesday against St. Peter.
Tip is set for 7:15 p.m.
