A check was reported issued from a closed account at 1:26 p.m. at 814 U.S. Highway 69 in the Twin Lakes area.

A credit card scam was reported at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday at 22956 640th Ave., outside Alden.

Attempted burglary reported

A break-in was reported at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday at 308 William St. A lock was cut. No items were missing.

Attempted entry was reported at 5:42 a.m. Wednesday at 611 U.S. Highway 65. Entry was not made, but back motion lights were damaged.

1 cited for theft

Albert Lea police cited David Albert Drescher, 78, for theft after a theft was reported at 8:42 a.m. Thursday at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave. The loss to the store was valued at $2.78.

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Jason Michael Sokolofsky, 33, on a Mower County warrant at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday at 923 Jefferson Ave.
