Tigers don’t let up in win over Falcons

The Albert Lea boys’ hockey team won its third game in its last four with a 9-0 dousing of Faribault on Thursday night.
After scoring one goal in the first period, the Tigers exploded for four goals in both the second and third period.
Albert Lea got 55 shots on net, including 26 in the second period.
Eight players scored goals for the Tigers. Mitchell Evans was the only player to score multiple goals. He now has 13 goals on the season.
Alex Goodmanson started the scoring at the 12:09 mark of the first period on the power play.
An avalanche of goals followed. Albert Lea scored three goals in a span of five minutes in the second period. It had another burst of three goals in five and a half minutes in the third period.
Bergan Lundak finished with three assists.
Austin Dulitz had four points on the night and Lundak and Sam Chalmers had three points apiece for the Tigers, who are now 11-12-1 on the season with one game left to get to the .500 mark.
Albert Lea will play at Mankato East on Saturday.
