William “Will” Sorlie, 61, of Albert Lea passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date in Albert Lea.

William Jay, son of Robert and Harriett (Rheume) Sorlie, was born on Oct. 4, 1955, in Albert Lea. He attended Albert Lea High School and graduated with the class of 1973. Will was self-employed as a carpenter and worked mostly in southern Minnesota. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Kaleigh (Matt) Carlson of North Carolina and Tracy Sorlie of Albert Lea; two grandsons, Braylon and Canaan; brother, Rob Sorlie of Albert Lea; and cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
