Gabriel John Ellis

Kevin and Elizabeth Ellis of Albert Lea announce the birth of a son, Gabriel John Ellis. Gabriel was born Feb. 5, 2017, at Owatonna Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches. He joins siblings Nicholaus Ellis, 9; Jeshuah Ellis, 5; and Reaia Ellis, 2.

Grandparents are Brian Berning of Greeley, Colorado; Kathy Neidermeier of Albert Lea; and Deb and Will Ellis of Kodiak, Alaska.

Great-grandparents are Deloris Anderson of Auburn, Washington; Marie Ellis of Palmer, Alaska; and Warren Lenz Sr. of Albert Lea.

Axel Jon Simmons

Nickolas and Meka Simmons of Emmons announce the birth of a son, Axel Jon Simmons. Axel was born Feb. 28, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. He weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18 inches.

Grandparents are Sue Toenges and Dan Toenges, Viola Simmons and the late Jonathan Simmons.

Great-grandparents are Delores Schilling and Vivian Toenges.
