Funeral services for Marion A. Follmuth, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Russell Scepaniak will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Marion died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids.

Marion A. Follmuth was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Edward and Margarette Cragg. She graduated from Humboldt High School in Humboldt, Iowa, and went on to attend St. Joseph Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Marion was a registered nurse at Naeve Hospital and Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. On July 25, 1949, Marion married Berton Follmuth at St. Theodore Catholic Church, where they were members. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren — especially her annual leaf jumping in the fall. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s many sporting events, dance recitals, music concerts and graduations. Marion loved wintering in Florida with family.

Marion is survived by her children Paul (Cindy) Follmuth, Mary (John) Tenold, Pamela (Scott) Tovar, Patricia Crane, Michael Follmuth and Peter (Mary Jo) Follmuth; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; brothers Lyle (Shirley) Sorensen and Jens Sorensen Jr.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents; husband, Berton; sons Gregory and James; infant grandson, Matthew; infant brother, Russel; brothers Gene and John Sorensen; sisters-inlaw Joyce, Linda and Madelyn Sorensen; daughter-in-law, Janice Follmuth; and son-in-law, Richard Crane.
