Freeborn American Legion Auxiliary
The Freeborn American Legion Auxiliary had its monthly meeting Feb. 18.
President Sandy Anderson called the meeting to order. The pledges were recited. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were given and approved. There were no bills to present. The group received a thank you from Albert Lea Hospice for its donation. A thank you was also received from the ALA Hospital representative for items that were given to them from the unit.
Between the Community Sewing group and Viola Krosgaard’s efforts, there were nine quilts, 17 heart pillows, 13 neck pillows and six comfort kits completed. Anderson thanked Krosgaard for organizing the sewing group. Anderson also thanked the ladies who are helping with the sewing.
Anderson announced that the annual reports would be completed at the March meeting. All members should be gathering their information so that the reports can be completed in a timely manner.
It was decided to leave the group’s annual dues the same as last year. Since both the national and the department dues have stayed the same, there was no reason for the group to raise its dues. They will remain at $20.
With no other business, the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be at 9 a.m. March 18 at the Freeborn Legion Hall.
