The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team was led by Derek Van Ryswyk in its first round of sections Tuesday night.

The senior big man posted 28 points and 21 rebounds in a 68-65 win over LeRoy-Ostrander.

The Wolverines also got 13 points from Carter Dahlum and 10 from Seth Chapek in the win.

The victory keeps the season alive for Glenville-Emmons, as it will move on to face Goodhue on Thursday.

The two teams have not faced each other this year.

Goodhue has a record of 24-3, but lost its last game against Lake City. It had a bye in the first round of sections.

Tip is set for 7 p.m. at Goodhue High School.
