Youth help with fundraising event

The St. Theodore Youth Group collected monetary donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring the weekend of Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 at all of their church services. Proceeds were donated to the Albert Lea Loaves and Fishes program.
Students involved recently presented a check to Loaves and Fishes coordinators Peg Shelton and Elaine Sonka. The students collected $2,587.
According to a press release, the Souper Bowl of Caring is a national organization that helps bring awareness of hunger in in local communities.
The Loaves and Fishes program serves a hot meal almost every Monday at St. Theodore Catholic Church for anyone in need of a good meal.
