Rep. Peggy Bennett, R-Albert Lea, was recently appointed to the conference committee for House File 890, the Omnibus Education Finance Bill.

Bennett joined four other House conferees, as well as Senate conferees, who will work in the coming days to resolve differences between the House and Senate versions of the Omnibus Education Finance Bill.

“I’m honored to be assigned to the Education Finance Conference Committee and I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues on the final bill,” Bennett said. “My goal is to ensure our schools are properly funded, and our students have the best possible environment to learn, grow and succeed.”
