Bill and Pam Leland of Albert Lea and Dave and Juane Elston of Windom announce the engagement of their children, Alexandra Leland and Josh Elston.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Pam Leland of Albert Lea; and is the granddaughter of Della Leland of Albert Lea, the late Ken Leland and Jim and Jane Hruby of St. Cloud.

She is a 2007 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2010 graduate of University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she majored in history and European studies.

The groom is the son of Dave and Juane Elston of Windom; and is the grandson of the late Robert and Margaret Elston of Windom, the late Vivian Winter of Graettinger, Iowa, and the late Ted Winter of Oregon.

He is a 2007 graduate of Windom High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he majored in genetics.

An October wedding is planned in Albert Lea.
