3 arrested on warrants and other reports

1 arrested for multiple violations

Albert Lea police cited Shwe Thaung, 22, for an open container violation, taking small game without a license, taking migratory birds out of season, having no state migratory waterfowl stamp, having no federal duck stamp and discharging a dangerous weapon in Albert Lea, among other violations, at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at 1600 Edgewater Drive. Thaung was arrested on an apprehension and detention order on scene. He was arrested after two males who were inside and outside a silver van were described as shooting ducks with a BB gun at the address. A female duck was reportedly shot, and a male duck was allegedly shot at.

Terroristic threats, fight reported

Terroristic threats were alleged at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday at 368 S. Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove. The threats were reportedly made by a student on a school bus.

Terroristic threats were alleged at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday at 404 Fountain St. A father allegedly threatened to harm his newborn child and and the mother of the child.

A fight was reported at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday at 2000 Tiger Lane.

3 arrested on warrants

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jamie Duane Mead, 29, on local warrants at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Erik Lee Anderson, 28, turned himself in on a local warrant at 5:10 a.m. Thursday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Police picked up John Anthony Garza, 36, on a local warrant at 2:31 p.m. Wednesday at 1224 James Ave.

Items stolen

More than $2,000 in cash was allegedly stolen at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday at 108 McArthur Drive. A suspect, allegedly a family member of the victim, was identified.

Bad checks of $172.32, $176.26 and $1,547.39 were reported at 5:14 p.m., 5:16 p.m. and 5:17 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave.

Twenty dollars of gas was allegedly siphoned from a tank at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday at 1104 18 1/2 E. St.

Ninety-six dollars was reported lost from a quick change scammer at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday at Wendy’s, 2751 E. Main St.
