Auxiliary donates to Nation of Patriots

Bonnie Schneider, president of Albert Lea American Legion Auxiliary Post 56, presents Bill Koza, Nation of Patriots volunteer, a check for $100 as a donation to the 2017 Nation of Patriots tour. Also in the picture is Deanne Adams. The Nation of Patriots is a volunteer, non-profit organization and all of the funds raised are used to assist combat-wounded veterans. The Albert Lea Harley Owners Group volunteers will participate in the Nation of Patriots 2017 tour. The flag starts from Madison, Wisconsin, and arrives at 5 p.m. May 31 from the Mason City HOG chapter at Bergdale Harley Davidsob. At 2 p.m. June 1 the motorcycle riders will escort the flag to the Crow River Harley Davidson in Delano. The flag will travel 14,000 miles across 48 states from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Both events are open to the public. The ride is meant to honor the American flag and veterans. - Provided
