Mayo Clinic Health System’s hospice program in Albert Lea and Austin will host a bereavement camp for children May 20.
The camp, Helping Hearts Heal, is for children grades kindergarten through 12th, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The activities will help participants understand their feelings and show them they are not alone in their grief.
Helping Hearts Heal activities planned so far include fun and games, memory activities, group discussion, climbing wall and art activities.
The camp will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. May 20 at Brookside Education Center, 211 W. Richway Dr., Albert Lea. For more information or registration materials call the Hospice Office at 507-377-6393. Registrations are due May 15.
According to a press release, thanks to the generosity of Kiester for a Cure and the many individuals who donated to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, Helping Hearts Heal is offered free of charge.
