2 arrested, cited for violations

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Salim Hassian Counts, 42, for fifth-degree drug possession, possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing a small amount of marijuana, driving after revocation and having no insurance during a traffic stop at 6:53 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of 785th Avenue and Third Street  NW, Glenville.

Albert Lea police cited Richard Anthony Hestekin, 60, for an open bottle violation during a traffic stop at 3:57 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of South Washington Avenue and West William Street.

Vehicle damaged, items stolen

A mirror was reported smashed off, and a scratch on a rear driver-side door of a vehicle was reported at 1:22 p.m. Thursday at 401 Adams Ave. A hose reel cart with a green hose was allegedly taken two weeks prior.

A lawnmower was reported stolen at 2:39 p.m. Thursday at 120 S. Ermina Ave. The incident allegedly occurred the previous night.
