Reptile Amphibian Discovery Zoo visited Albert Lea Public Library Thursday afternoon to teach children about reptiles and amphibians.
The shows were at 2 and 3 p.m. in the children’s library. Children were able to see different reptiles and amphibians including frogs, toads, geckos, lizards, turtles, tortoises and snakes.
“I think they enjoyed seeing all the animals and learning about them,” said Morgan Bjorklund, an employee at the library. “It’s a really good learning experience.”
During the show, the children learned many different facts about the reptiles and amphibians, including where they are found, how they got their name, what they eat and other unique facts that belong to the different animals.
“I think that they are inspired to go out and learn more about animals and not be so afraid of the snakes and what they saw,” Bjorklund said.
