Albert Lea will have at least one participant at the state meet  next week at Hamline University.

Sarah DeHaan has been terrific in the high jump all spring and saved one of her best performances for Thursday.

She jumped a height of 5’4, which was more than good enough to qualify for state. DeHaan finished in second place and one inch behind Rochester Century’s Katherine Eidem, who jumped a height of 5’5.

Lakeville South’s Jenny Mosser also jumped a height of 5’4 to tie with DeHaan.
