Thank you to everybody who made the Friends of the Library spring book sale in May a success. We raised $1,535 from sales of memberships and used books. Together with Fountain Lake Bookstore sales, these monies fund extra programs and supplies at the Albert Lea Public Library.

We want to especially thank Janelle VanEngelenburg and her Sentence to Serve crew, the Albert Lea Fire Department, the city of Albert Lea, Michelle Gurung and many Friends volunteers for their efforts on behalf of this event. We also appreciate continuing generous book donations from community members.

The Fountain Lake Bookstore is in the basement of City Hall and is staffed by volunteers year-round. A payment box is available for purchasing books outside of bookstore hours. Book donations can be dropped off in the blue bin at the bottom of the stairway.
