Local church to host leadership summit

The Global Leadership Summit is scheduled for Aug. 10 and Aug. 11 at Crossroads Church in Albert Lea.

According to a press release, the summit is a world-class leadership training opportunity for leaders of all types. For more than 20 years, the GLS has proven to produce compelling outcomes for attendees, including improvements in teamwork, effectiveness, significance and better leadership.

Among headlining 2017 faculty are Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook; Marcus Buckingham, a best-selling author and founder of The Marcus Buckingham Co.; Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of Equal Justice Initiative; Juliet Funt, CEO of Whitespace at Work; and Marcus Lemonis, star of CNBC’s “The Profit” and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam.

Bill Hybels, founder of the summit and senior pastor at Willow Creek Community Church, opens and hosts the two-day event. According to a press release, faculty members are the best of the best in their areas of expertise. They are selected for their innovative approaches and proven success in the faith-based, nonprofit, government, education and business sectors.

Hybels strongly advocates for presenting attendees with diverse speakers and ideas.
