Walker, secretary of the Freeborn County DFL Party during the time of the incidents, admitted making unauthorized purchases on the party’s bank card for personal use. She admitted knowing she was not authorized by the political party to make the purchases.

Walker also admitted to failing to check in to the court system by phone once a week, as required by the District Court. She did not receive any jail time for the violation.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 21. Walker is expected to receive a probationary sentence. If she successfully completes probation, her conviction is expected to be reduced to a gross misdemeanor.
