Art Zone gives children chance to enjoy painting
Children and their parents gathered Wednesday at Albert Lea Public Library for an event that allows youth to express their artistry.
Art Zone is a weekly event in the summer, during which children can paint. Crafts are also available, and materials and supplies are provided.

Library assistant Anna Boettcher said the event allows children to have fun.
“It gives them something to do in the summer, if it is hot outside,” she said. “It is fun to express their creativity.”
Olivia Youlden, 8, said she enjoys painting, and her favorite subject to draw is flamingos.
Her mother, Erika Youlden, said the event allows youth to create art.
