A Clarks Grove man was injured Monday in a crash east of Ellendale.

Dovain Veron Otterson, 78, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with an injury deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Otterson was driving a 1995 Ford pickup south on Steele County Road 45 when it was struck by a 2003 International semi, driven by Bruce Ordean Madson, 63, of Ellendale, at the road’s intersection with Minnesota Highway 30, according to the State Patrol report.

The crash took place at about 9 a.m.

The report states at the time of the crash, the pickup was proceeding through the intersection after stopping at a stop sign.

Otterson and Madson were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report states.
