MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis officials said the cause of a fire at a hotel that’s still under construction has been ruled to be arson.

The Minneapolis Fire Department said crews responded to the fire early Sunday morning at the hotel site on West Lake Street. Officials found debris on fire on the first floor of the structure, and crews were able to extinguish the flames.

According to a press release, the department said the fire was contained to the area where it started.
