Freeborn-Mower issues peak alert

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative has asked their members to reduce electric usage from through 7 p.m. today. People are asked to wait until after that time to use any unnecessary electric power, according to a news release.

Today is a peak alert day, due to forecasted high demands for electricity throughout the Midwestern region. Waiting until after 7 p.m. to use any unnecessary electricity will help keep costs low for members of Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative.
