HAYWARD — The annual Hayward Days celebration will take place Saturday and Sunday in Hayward.

This year’s event will feature a car, bike and tractor show sponsored by Beck Auto and Transport. Nick’s Meats of Hayward, which will provide meat for grilling, will be a featured business at the events.

Mayor Mike Hansen said that there should be a better turnout at the events this year because it does not compete with other events like it has in years past.

There will not be a mud bog at the event this year.

This year will be the 10th annual and final April Sorensen Half Marathon hosted by the city of Hayward. For more information on the run, visit www.livelaughloverun.com.

Saturday

All day: Garage sales throughout town

All day: Softball tournament in City Park

7:30 a.m.: April Sorensen Half Marathon begins in Albert Lea and ends in Hayward

8 to 11 a.m.: Bake sale with quilt and other raffle items, refreshments served

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Hayward Booster Club Car, Bike and Tractor Show, food and music provided

Sunday

All day: Softball tournament in City Park

10 a.m.: Outside church services at Hayward Lutheran Church
