At 10 a.m. Sept. 10, First Presbyterian Church of Albert Lea is participating in Back to Church Sunday, which is a national movement of over 30,000 churches across America, according to a press release. Everyone is welcome to attend.

There will be a special service focused on “A Place to Belong” and the music, sermon and everything that is done that morning will be centered on that theme, which is relevant to today’s culture of people wanting to be a part of authentic community. The message is that peoples’ stories matter, and they can find a place to fit in and make a difference right in their local church.

According to the Rev. Dwight Netzer, “there has never been a better time than now for people to come back and get plugged in to a church that offers a place to belong, opportunities to serve the community and the chance to grow spiritually through a journey of personal faith.”
