Albert Lea Public Library names Readers of the Week

Albert Lea Public Library has announced the participants who were named Readers of the Week through its summer reading program.

Brooke Trufte, Elsa Worth, Morgan Loock, Andrew Petersen, Trixie Erickson and Carlie Loock were each selected for the honor, according to a press release.

Tufte has a younger sister, Tenley, and is the daughter of Kevin and Michelle. She also has a rabbit named Fluffy.

Her favorite things to do are read and draw. Her favorite books are the “Ivy and Bean” series. Tufte’s favorite place to read is in bed.

Worth has two brothers, Becket and Ike, and  is the daughter of Amanda and Riley.

Her favorite thing to do is play with Rarity of My Little Pony’s. Her favorite place to read is with Mom and Dad in bed. Worth’s favorite series is “Piggy and Elephant.”

Morgan Loock has a sister, Carlie, and is the daughter of Natalie and Rick.

Her favorite thing to do is go skating. Her favorite place to read is at the library on her daddy’s lap. Her favorite books to read are the “Rainbow Fairies” series.

Peterson’s family includes his sister, Shannon, and his parents Michelle and Grant. They have two sheep dogs, Draker and Gus, nine chickens — who all have names —and a fish, named Rainbow.

His favorite book is “Raccoon on His Own.” His favorite place to read is in his room.

Petersen likes anything to do with dinosaurs, fishing, writing stories and reading.

Erickson lives with his parents and her brother, Axel. She has no pets, but a special stuffed animal called Baby.

Her favorite thing to do is create art. Her favorite place to read is at the library. Erickson’s favorite book is “Anne of Green Gables.”

Carlie Loock’s family includes her sister, Morgan, and parents Natalie and Richard. She doesn’t have any pets but her favorite plush buddy is a praying bunny. 

She enjoys going skating and riding ponies. Her favorite place to read is in bed. Carlie Loock’s favorite book is the “Cat in the Hat.”
