Had to read with dismay about my friends, neighbors and foes about the Tribune being so local, but I would disagree.

My precious mom died on a Friday after 6 p.m., so we could not get a notice in our paper until Tuesday, the day of her funeral. Kinda late. Maybe we were supposed to wait for the funeral to get a notice published.
