An all-veterans, all-eras family barbecue picnic will take place at noon Aug. 26 at the Northwood shelter house at the Worth County Fairgrounds.

There will be a band performing at the event and door prize tickets will be available. Shuttle assistance will also be provided to those in attendance.

According to a press release, the 13th annual barbecue is sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Jerry Parmley North Star Chapter 790. All era veterans of all branches of service are invited to attend the event. Spouses and guests are welcome to join them as well.

The menu will consist of burgers, brats, sloppy joes, hot dogs and lemonade. Plates and utensils are provided. Those who plan to attend are encouraged to bring an appetizer, side dish, salad or dessert to share.
