Central Freeborn Lutheran Church will host a soup and dessert supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

According to a press release, homemade soups will include, wild rice, chili, potato, chicken noodle and gluten free. Homemade bread, ice cream and dessert will also be available. Meals will cost $9 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and children 5 and under are free.

Proceeds will benefit Chelsey Johnson, who is serving the Evangelical Lutheran Church Association as a young adult in global mission in Cambodia, and the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Hospice program.

Supplemented funders will be provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Those who attend are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to support local food shelves.
