Funeral services for Dianne S. Burkart, 70, of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Malinsky will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Dianne Sue Burkart was born on March 25, 1947, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Marvin and Lorraine (Halseth) Groff. She attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School. Dianne was united in marriage to Richard Burkart on Sept. 19, 1965, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Dianne and Dick enjoyed flea marketing in their motorhome, looking to find the best bargains and deals and enjoyed their hobby/gift store. Dianne and Dick made thousands of buttons sent all over Minnesota and Iowa.

She enjoyed bingo, camping and being with her family.

Dianne is survived by her children, Michelle (Ben) Vaughn, Todd (Paula) Burkart and Tami (Gordon) Jensen; grandchildren Cory Flattum, Jennifer (Isaiah) Prescott, Brittany (Cory) Holm, Kadin Burkart and Sarah and Anna Riecke; great-grandchildren Landon and Lillian Prescott and Mason Flattum, brothers Michael Groff, David Groff and Randy (LorRae) Groff; sister, Nancy (Jim) Thompson; brothers-in-law Glenn Flatness and Fred Tetzloff; sister-in- law, Elaine Burkart; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; nephew, Wayne Flatness; brother-in-law, Gerald Burkart; sisters-in-law Arlene (Tootie) Flatness and Rose Tetzloff.
