Funeral services for Lois Geraldine “Gerry” (Dillavou) Kingstrom, 78, of Glenville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Gerry died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Albert Lea.

Lois Geraldine “Gerry” (Dillavou) Kingstrom was born Feb. 21, 1939, the daughter of Luther LaVern and Lois Miller (Longshore) Dillavou. She grew up in the Albert Lea area and graduated from Albert Lea High School.

On Oct. 18, 1959, Gerry was united in marriage to Richard Dean Kingstrom at Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked for many years at Naeve Hospital. Gerry was a member of Lunder Lutheran Church and was active in ladies aide. She enjoyed walking and just being outdoors, along with baking bread and canning. Gerry also enjoyed playing cards — especially 500—gardening and being with her family. She volunteered with Senior Resources.

Gerry is survived by her husband, Richard; sons Ken (MaChar) Kingstrom, John Kingstrom and Aaron (Heidi) Kingstrom; daughter, Mary (Scott) Hansen; mother-in-law, Alpha Kingstrom; granddaughters, Jessica, Ashley, Miranda, Brianna, Natasha and Hanna; grandsons Alex, Jake, and Nolan; brother, Earl (Pat) Dillavou; sisters Romelle (Ernie) and Sandra; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Judy (Jack) Montour and Lois (George) Beaving, Donna (Art) Lundgren; and brother-in-law, Charley (Lin) Kingstrom.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and LaVern Dillavou; father-in-law, John Kingstrom; son, Lowell Dean Kingstrom; and granddaughter, April Renae Kingstrom.
