Performing Arts Center to host ‘Peter Pan’

Marion Ross Performing Arts Center will host a high definition encore broadcast performance of the play “Peter Pan” by National Theatre Live at 7 p.m. Saturday.

National Theatre Live is the National Theatre’s groundbreaking project to broadcast the best of British theater live from the London stage to cinemas around the world.

According to a press release, the performance of JM Barrie’s much-loved tale of Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, is a delight for children and adults alike. When Peter loses his shadow, headstrong Wendy helps him to reattach it. In return, she is invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily and the vengeful Captain Hook await. A riot of magic, music and make-believe ensues.

Sally Cookson directs this wondrously inventive production, a co- production with Bristol Old Vic Theatre.
