Albert Lea Mayor Vern Rasmussen read a proclomation announcing a splash pad community celebration at Monday’s city council meeting.

The celebration, which will include a ribbon cutting, will be at 12:30 p.m. today at the Albert Lea splash pad. Large donors will recognized during the celebration, including ITC.

According to a press release, the celebration is a way to thank the community for their support and donations that made the splash pad possible.

Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department will have a bounce house and other games from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the splash pad. There will also be snacks and Bruno’s Corn Dogs available on site.
