During the Freeborn County Historical Museum Discover History days Tuesday through Thursday, the Albert Lea High School 11th-grade humanities class, who researched 12 different subjects in the Museum and Village, will teach the fifth-graders from seven local schools about the history of Freeborn County, according to a press release.
The 11th-grade students, who have been researching their topics since August, will teach around 40 students throughout the day. Each fifth-grade student is able to attend four sessions about various aspects of the 1850s to early-1900s.
Pioneer history will come to life as the 11th-graders, dressed in period clothing, teach the fifth-grade students through interactive activities.
This is the 21st year for the program at the Freeborn County Historical Museum.
