The Albert Lea football team was unable to pull out the road victory Friday night in Fairmont.
On a positive note, the Tigers were able to find the endzone late in the game, but they ultimately fell to the Cardinals, 48-6.
The score for Albert Lea came on a 22-yard rush from senior Alex Goodmanson.
Head coach Corey Black had his team looking on the bright side of things after the game and he talked about the things that went right for the Tigers.
“The best part about it was that we moved the ball and showed ourselves that we could do it,” he said. “We’re looking forward to playing TCU and Worthington at home to show them that we can execute and get some points up on the board.”
The Tigers had their best offensive game of the year thus far, moving the ball for over 300 yards of offense.
Javarus Owens lead the team with 145 rushing yards, followed by Mason Pazckowski with 56.
Cole Wentzel was six for 18 passing with 55 yards and Owens also lead the team in receiving with 15 yards.
The Tigers drop t 0-5 on the season and will play again Friday of Homecoming week when they take on Tri-City United.
