2 cited for thefts

Police cited Kavin Earl Whelan, 63, for theft at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday at Mayo Clinic Health System, 404 Fountain St. Whelan was cited after hospital security reportedly had a shoplifter from the pharmacy in the main entrance.

Police cited Ryne Daniel Gohl, 24, for misdemeanor theft after a theft report was made at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave.

A theft of an estimated $600 was reported at 7:59 a.m. Tuesday at Bomgaars, 1721 W. Main St. The theft allegedly happened Saturday.

A blue Schwinn bike was reported stolen at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday at 800 S. Fourth Ave. The incident allegedly happened approximately three weeks ago.

A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was reported egged, and a windshield cracked at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday at 122 Bridge Ave.

Someone reportedly stole a Blu-ray player and one computer at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

1 taken to hospital after bike, vehicle collide

Terra-Nece Price, an 8-year-old child, was reported taken to the hospital via private means after a bike reportedly collided with a vehicle at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday at 1004 Dunham St.

The child reportedly rode her bike off the sidewalk. The vision of the driver of the vehicle was blocked by a parked car, and the bicyclist reportedly entered the traffic lane and collided with the vehicle.
