Where are you from?

Albert Lea.

If from Albert Lea, which elementary school did you attend?

Lakeview.

Favorite teacher of all time and why?

Mr. Nechanicky was my fourth-grade teacher and taught me a lot; not only about math, reading and science, but about being confident and not giving up.

Favorite book/author:

“The Lost Hero” by Rick Riordan.

Current/past activities, volunteer work and accomplishments:

Involved in swimming and track and field, and made high school state last year in swimming. This past summer I represented Team MN in the 2017 Central Zones Competition. I have helped Freeborn County Partners in Prevention and got to go to a convention in Las Vegas where we discussed preventing drug and alcohol abuse in youth.

What do you want to do after high school?

After high school I plan on swimming for a college (hopefully D1). My favorite college swim team is Stanford; it would be a dream come true to swim for them. I am also very interested in nutrition and would like to get a degree in something nutrition-related.

What advice would you give to younger students in Albert Lea?

My advice to younger students would be to get involved in anything and everything you can; it will only benefit you! Take all of the opportunities you are given, because you never know if you will be given those opportunities again.
