The Albert Lea Art Center will host “Art of Developing a Sermon” as part of the Dorothy Godtland Lecture Series. The free event will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at The Art Center.

How does a pastor write a sermon? Does it fall from heaven? Are they just copied from a book or the internet?

According to a press release, the Rev. Josh Enderson will delve into the process and art that goes into a pastor’s weekly sermon.

Enderson was born and raised in Albert Lea. He received his Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in 2011.

Enderson is a Lutheran pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and has served as the pastor of Hayward Lutheran Church and Trondhjem Lutheran Church for the past two years.
