Female struck by car

A taxi cab reportedly struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of East Main Street and South Newton Avenue. The driver of the cab reportedly took the female to the emergency room following the crash. More information was not available as of press time.

1 arrested for violation

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested David Anthony Roe, 28, for a predatory offender registration violation after civil paper service was reported at 6:14 p.m. Tuesday at 604 Giles Place.

2 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested John Robert Zimmerman for third-degree driving while intoxicated, having a .08 blood-alcohol content or more within two hours and driving after revocation after a report of a drunken driver was made at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday at 820 Happy Trails Lane.

Police arrested and cited Fue Richard Her for fourth-degree DWI during a traffic stop at 12:41 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East Main Street and Sibley Avenue.

Thefts reported

Albert Lea police arrested Cody Wayne Simons for theft at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. Simons was booked and released.

A theft was reported at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday at 713 W. Front St.

1 arrested on warrant

Deputies arrested Jason Jon Casey, 34, on a Department of Corrections warrant during a traffic stop at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 65, north of Myers Road. At the scene, deputies cited Juan Antonio Vazquez Cruz, 28, for driving after revocation.
