Three Wells residents injured in collision

Three Wells residents were injured Sunday after a semi and a vehicle collided in rural Faribault County.

Darin Charles Johnson, 39, Jamie F. Stenberg, 28, and Billy Howard Stenberg, 30, were taken to hospitals with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

Johnson was driving a 2012 International Prostar semi west on 140th Street and stopped at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 22, but did not see a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Jamie Stenberg as Johnson proceeded into the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The collision reportedly occurred before 11:30 a.m.

Johnson and Billy Stenberg were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, and Jamie Stenberg was taken to St. Marys Hospital.

Jamie Stenberg was not at St. Marys as of Monday morning.

It is unknown whether Johnson was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, and Jamie Stenberg and Billy Stenberg were wearing their seat belts, according to the report. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Faribault County first responders assisted on scene.
