1 arrested for stolen property
Albert Lea police arrested Joseph Eugene Waltz Jr., 22, for possessing stolen property and possessing methamphetamine after a suspicious person with a possible stolen bike was reported at 9:59 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East 11th Street and South Broadway Avenue.
Thefts, damage reported
Someone reportedly broke into a house and stole a 9-month-old gray and white male pitbull at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at 702 E. 18th St.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:38 a.m. Wednesday at 512 S. Broadway Ave. Damage was estimated at $50.
Spray paint on a building and a back door was reported at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday at 522 S. Broadway Ave.
A Mongoose bike was reported stolen from an auto body shop at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday at 321 Sibley Ave.
A reported scam involving a false claim of someone winning $1.5 million was reported at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday at 801 Luther Place. The suspects reportedly asked for account numbers to deposit the money, but no money was given.
A Northface extra-large woman’s jacket with keys and a wallet inside was reported stolen at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday at 404 Fountain St.
2 suspended after incident
A juvenile female and juvenile male were reported suspended for three days for swearing at staff at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday at 2200 Riverland Drive.
1 arrested on warrant
Albert Lea police arrested John Robert Jurgensen, 56, on Hennepin County warrants at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday at 408 S. Broadway Ave.

A sex crime with a child victim was reported at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday in Albert Lea.
