Upon arriving, Way reportedly offered contradicting information about where he was coming from, initially stating he was coming from work but later saying he was coming from a friend’s house.

Way was reportedly driving a 2008 Honda Pilot the wrong way on East Main Street when he struck a 2016 Honda Accord driven by Kari Roisen, 57, of Albert Lea.

Roisen was taken to the hospital with an injury deemed not life-threatening.

Court documents state Way had bloodshot eyes, a strong alcoholic odor and struggled to complete sobriety tests on scene.

Way reportedly had a .123 blood alcohol content on a preliminary breath test.

As of Monday afternoon, Way was in custody.
