Lake Mills student receives scholarship

Rylee Bowman of Lake Mills has received the College of Human Sciences dean’s scholarship from the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences for the 2017-18 academic year. Bowman is a freshman undecided major at Iowa State University.

The Iowa State University College of Human Sciences and its academic departments awarded more than $1.5 million in student scholarships and awards for this academic year.

Lake Mills student named to dean’s list

Justine Stensrude of Lake Mills was named to Buena Vista University’s dean’s list for terms five and six. Students named to the dean’s list must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the two terms, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

Area students welcomed to class of 2019

Amanda McLaughlin of Kensett and Chameika Dorsey, Dominique Budach, Shane Peterson and Lindy Pins have begun their junior year at the University of Iowa.
