Funeral services for Duane M. Ringoen of Owatonna will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.

Duane died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna. He was 81.

Duane was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Albert Lea, the son of Donald and Marie (Madson) Ringoen. He attended country school in Freeborn County.

Duane was employed in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Union “49ers.” He was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.

In his free time he enjoyed horses and traveled extensively.

Duane is survived by his brothers Terry (Jeanette) Ringoen of Albert Lea and Richard (Coral) Ringoen of Albert Lea; brother-in-law, Don E. Johnson; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Johnson; and nephew, Todd Johnson.
