Hospice at Mayo Clinic Health System is seeking adult volunteers to provide support to hospice patients and their caregivers in Albert Lea, Austin and surrounding communities, according to a press release.

Hospice volunteers lend companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their caregivers in many ways. Volunteer tasks may include family support, errands, providing transportation, bereavement follow-up and office work.

Volunteer time is very flexible and volunteers may choose the tasks in which they prefer to participate.

Hospice volunteers must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license and attend a training session. For more information, call 507-377-6393  for Albert Lea or 507-434-1415 for Austin.
