When is a hospital not a hospital? The answer is: when it is located in Albert Lea. Mayo officials may call it a hospital, but it is not a hospital. Calling something a hospital when it is not a hospital does not make it a hospital.

Mayo says we are only losing 5 percent of our hospital. That 5 percent is the most critical part of what makes a hospital.  It is like taking the heart out of a person and saying it is no big deal. You only lost 5 percent of your body.

We no longer have a hospital. We have a clinic.
